Xbox Game Pass is losing eight more games on Saturday, October 31, 2026 — and this wave stings. LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga and Deep Rock Galactic headline the departures, alongside Wartales, Wildgate, Lara Croft and the Temple of Osiris, and two Double Fine adventure classics. The eight titles have appeared in the Xbox app's "Leaving Soon" section, and all of them are listed for console, PC and cloud. Here's the full list, how long each game takes to finish, and what to play first with 11 days left.

Every game leaving Game Pass on October 31

  • Day of the Tentacle Remastered — Console, PC, Cloud
  • Dead Static Drive — Console, PC, Cloud
  • Deep Rock Galactic — Console, PC, Cloud
  • Full Throttle Remastered — Console, PC, Cloud
  • Lara Croft and the Temple of Osiris — Console, PC, Cloud
  • LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga — Console, PC, Cloud
  • Wartales — Console, PC, Cloud
  • Wildgate — Console, PC, Cloud

This is October's second departure wave: nine games, including Clair Obscur: Expedition 33, already left on October 15, taking the month's total to 17 departures. Some of these have been in the library for years — Day of the Tentacle Remastered and Full Throttle Remastered joined in October 2020, and Deep Rock Galactic has been a Game Pass staple since November 2020. Wildgate is the newest arrival on the list, having only joined in May 2026.

What to play first

You can't finish all eight. Prioritize by the clock:

The quick wins: Full Throttle Remastered and Day of the Tentacle Remastered. Double Fine's remasters of the LucasArts point-and-click classics are the most finishable games on the list — HowLongToBeat puts Full Throttle at roughly 4–5 hours and Day of the Tentacle at 5–7 hours, and TrueAchievements estimates a full achievement completion of around three hours each if you follow a walkthrough. Both fit in a single evening.

One good weekend: Dead Static Drive and Lara Croft and the Temple of Osiris. Dead Static Drive (4–10 hours) is a survival-horror road trip through a monster-infested America — very on-season for Halloween week. Temple of Osiris (5–14 hours) is an isometric co-op adventure through the Egyptian underworld for up to four players; a full achievement run takes around 15 hours, and a few achievements need four players or four controllers, so round up friends now if you're going for 100%.

Pick one trilogy: LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga. The Skywalker Saga covers all nine saga films with over 300 playable characters, more than 100 vehicles and 23 planets to explore — which is exactly the problem. HowLongToBeat estimates run from about 19 hours for a focused playthrough to around 90 for completionists, and a full achievement completion is estimated at 80–100 hours. Don't try to 100% it before Halloween. Pick the trilogy you love most, finish that, and enjoy it.

Sample, don't start: Wartales, Deep Rock Galactic and Wildgate. Wartales, Shiro Games' tactical RPG about running a mercenary company through turn-based battles, runs 42–159 hours — you can sample its combat and management in an evening, but a full campaign isn't finishing this month. Deep Rock Galactic's 1–4 player co-op mining runs (43+ hours of progression, and hundreds for completionists) are the same story: play a few final missions with your crew rather than starting fresh. Wildgate, the crew-based PvPvE space game where rival teams race to grab an artifact and escape, sits in between at 8–19 hours — a focused co-op weekend can see most of what it offers.

The Double Fine footnote

Two of the eight departures come from Double Fine, and outlets including Polygon, Pure Xbox and TrueAchievements have noted the timing: the remasters are leaving in the first departure waves since Double Fine split from Xbox and returned to independence in the summer of 2026. Microsoft hasn't given a reason for the removals, and nothing official says more Double Fine games will follow — but after six years in the library, Day of the Tentacle and Full Throttle are worth grabbing before they go.

Can you keep playing after October 31?

Leaving Game Pass only ends your subscription access — none of these games are being delisted or shut down. If you buy a game, your copy stays playable as normal. Game Pass members can buy departing titles at a discount — at least 20% on most of these games — while they're still in the library, so if Deep Rock Galactic or Wartales is part of your weekly routine, buying before October 31 is the cheapest way to keep it. More October additions to Game Pass are also expected to be announced in the coming days, which should soften the blow.
