PS Plus Extra and Premium October 2026: Mafia: The Old Country, Horizon Forbidden West, Mycopunk and All 9 Games With Dates

PlayStation Plus Extra and Premium members get nine more games this month, and the rollout is split — so the date next to the game you want matters. Sony announced the October 2026 Game Catalog lineup on October 14, headlined by Mafia: The Old Country, a returning Horizon Forbidden West, and the day-one co-op shooter Mycopunk. The main batch lands on Tuesday, October 20, one game is already playable, and three more follow on October 27.

The headliners: Mafia, Horizon and a day-one launch

Mafia: The Old Country is the biggest name in the drop. Hangar 13's crime adventure is set in the criminal underworld of 1900s Sicily and follows Enzo Favara as he is drawn into the Torrisi crime family. It is a deliberate return to the series' focused, linear storytelling — cover shooting, melee, stealth and horseback travel through period Sicily, rather than a sprawling open world. If you skipped it at launch, this is the cheapest way in.

Horizon Forbidden West needs less introduction — and a small caveat. Guerrilla's open-world sequel, following Aloy across a post-apocalyptic western frontier full of machine creatures, is labelled a PlayStation Plus re-release: it has been in the catalog before and is now returning. If you missed it the first time, or you only played on PS4 and want the PS5 version, October 20 is your date.

Mycopunk is the day-one story. The four-player co-op looter shooter sends a crew of robot exterminators against a planet-wide fungal outbreak, with customizable futuristic weaponry. It launches on PS5 on October 20 and goes straight into the Game Catalog the same day worldwide — the only title in this lineup Sony marked as a worldwide day-one release.

What else is worth your download queue?

The Midnight Walk is the one you can start today. It is a dark fantasy adventure built from clay, from the team behind Lost in Random and Fe, and it is fully playable in PS VR2 as well as flat on PS5.

The October 27 trio covers three very different itches: Poppy Playtime: Chapter 2 continues the toy-factory horror series just in time for Halloween; Tales of Arise – Beyond the Dawn Edition bundles Bandai Namco's well-liked JRPG with its Beyond the Dawn expansion, set on the worlds of Dahna and Rena; and Monster Energy Supercross 25 brings official supercross racing built in Unreal Engine 5, with dynamic track evolution that changes the dirt as a race runs.

Premium members get the nostalgia picks on October 20. Dino Crisis 2 sends Regina and newcomer Dylan through jungles, caves and lakes against more than ten dinosaur species, with a bigger arsenal than the first game. RollerCoaster Tycoon 3 Complete Edition is the opposite pace entirely: scenario challenges and a money-free sandbox mode for building and running your own amusement park.

Premium trials and HorrorFest extras

Premium also adds two Game Trials on October 20: Resonance: A Plague Tale Legacy and Mortal Shell II. Trials are time-limited previews, not full catalog games — do not confuse them with the nine additions above.
