God of War Laufey Pre-Order Guide: Editions, Prices, Bonuses, and Release Date

God of War Laufey pre-orders are officially live. Santa Monica Studio opened pre-orders on September 29, 2026 at 10:00 AM local time, ahead of the game's February 16, 2027 launch on PlayStation 5 — and for the first time in the mainline series, Kratos isn't the lead. This time you play as Laufey herself, Kratos' late wife and Atreus' mother, fighting through the Everywhen, a realm of dead gods.

Here's every edition, price, and pre-order bonus, broken down.

Standard Edition — $69.99

• Available in physical and digital
• Includes the full game
• Eligible for all pre-order bonuses below

Digital Deluxe Edition — $79.99

• Digital only
• Includes the full game plus the Dark Alchemy content pack (detailed below), a digital mini artbook, and the official digital soundtrack
• Eligible for all pre-order bonuses below

Collector's Edition? None has been announced. Neither edition includes a steelbook — consistent with Sony's recent PS5 exclusives.

God of War Laufey Pre-Order Bonuses

Pre-order either edition before launch and you'll receive:

• Last Wish Armor Set — a blue-and-black armor outfit for Faye, lightly resembling Kratos' Guiding Light set from God of War Ragnarök
• Phranque Golden Leaves Appearance — a cosmetic for Faye's cube-shaped companion, giving him a green look with golden leaves floating inside
• In-Game Resource Pack — early upgrade materials (exact contents not yet detailed)

Important notes:

• Buying the physical Standard Edition? Your bonuses arrive as a download code — you'll need an internet connection and a PlayStation account to redeem.
• The Last Wish Armor Set and Phranque Golden Leaves appearance can also be unlocked through story progression — pre-ordering just gives you immediate access.

What's in the Digital Deluxe Edition?

On top of everything in the Standard Edition, the Digital Deluxe includes:

• Dark Alchemy Armor Set — gold and dark blue armor for Faye
• Dark Alchemy Blade — a blue sword with a golden hilt
• Dark Alchemy Bow Scales — reskins Faye's Serpent Bow in blue with gold hints, plus a playstyle perk
• Dark Alchemy Catalyst — an artifact that channels magic to grant Faye combat modifiers
• In-Game Resource Pack
• Digital Mini Artbook
• Official God of War Laufey Digital Soundtrack

Like the pre-order bonuses, the Dark Alchemy items can also be earned through gameplay — the Deluxe Edition is about getting them early, plus the artbook and soundtrack.

Meet Faye's Serpent Bow

Santa Monica Studio also detailed Faye's signature weapon: the Serpent Bow, an enchanted bow that shifts from dormant to notched at lightning speed, weaving ranged strikes into her melee combos. How hard you press the aim trigger changes everything:

• Full press (precision mode): tighter aim and longer draw distance — hit weak points to impair an enemy's movement or attacks, then follow up with a melee strike
• Charged volley: charge up to five arrows for a devastating volley — perfect after Phranque launches enemies into the air
• Half press (hip-fire): quick clusters of arrows that juggle enemies into longer combos
• Light press: auto-aims and fires on its own

Both Faye's sword and the Serpent Bow are customizable, and Catalyst artifacts further shape her combat style.

FAQ

Should I get the Standard or Digital Deluxe Edition? If you want the Dark Alchemy gear, artbook, and soundtrack — and don't mind paying $10 more — go Deluxe. If you just want the game with the pre-order bonuses, Standard is all you need.

Can I upgrade from Standard to Deluxe later? Yes — physical Standard Edition owners can upgrade via the PlayStation Store for $10.

Is there a Collector's Edition? Not announced. Neither edition includes a steelbook.

Will God of War Laufey come to PC? Sony hasn't announced a PC version. It's currently billed as a PS5 console title launching February 16, 2027.

Do I need to pre-order to get the bonuses? No — the Last Wish Armor Set and Phranque Golden Leaves appearance unlock through story progression. Pre-ordering just grants immediate access.
